Interesting fact! The Mitsubishi Group was established in Japan in 1870. And since then she has never changed her logo. Three well-known rhombuses symbolize three diamonds, "three whales", on which the whole concept of the concern rests: honesty, responsibility and readiness for cooperation.

Registered Users do not see the above ads. I have a RS. I havent checked my records to make sure I'm not imagining things, but before I took in to get the head removed to get a piece of spark plug out of a cylinder, long sad story in other posts I was getting about 23mpg.

What could be causing the lower MPG? It has new spark plugs NGK Iridiums , the timing belt and tensioner were changed when they did the head, the air filter was changed a few months ago, maybe miles or so ago. Obviously new oil was put in after the change along with new coolant.

I was expecting the car to come back with the same MPG if not slightly more, instead I'm seeing a mpg decrease. The only 2 things I can think of are that I'm not sure if my thermostat is fully functional, it seems like it takes a while for my engine to heat up, but I dont remember how long it took before. How long does it take you RS to warm up?

The other thing is I dont know what oil was in the car when I got it, maybe I used a thicker oil so now I'm using up more gas. I use valvoline syntec full synthetic 10w30 and im getting like 26mpg. You currently have 0 posts. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. Unfortunately, I cant remember exactly what oil I had them put in, I remember calling Mitsubishi dealer and asking them and getting whatever they told me to. The brand was Mobil1. Are you getting 26mpg city driving from a stock RS? What would make it go out of whack? At the risk of sounding dumb, what is a CEL bulb? Never heard of it. Also, is there anything the shop could have done wrong when they put the head back on?

They did a shitty job with the valve cover to begin with, I had to take it back 3 times just so they could finally get it to stop leaking oil. Hell, the first time, oil was pouring out of the valve cover like it was coming out of a faucet. Ensure your tires are properly inflated, clean air filter, and fresh plugs. CEL is check engine light. I dont think people would appreciate it very much if I started driving below the speed limit. I meant rpms when I accelerate from a stop. I recently changed the plugs, flushed the fluids, and cleaned the air filter before my trip back to school and I got 34MPG. I have a 03 GTS. Shouldnt the 4cyl get better gas MPG? Sorry if this is a stupid question. Yes, the 4 cyl should get better gas mileage.

When you got those 34mpg, was that highway driving? I dont remember what my highway mpg were before taking it to the shop, but I know it wasnt 34mpg. You could have some carbon tracking built up in there and that could suck up some MPG. I personally never just change plugs, I also change anything except coils that see spark energy. That's not helping I'm sure. Yea that was highway. No wind 70mph driving with cruiz and straight line! Go with a full synthetic if you have conventional, you will get your mpg back. Jack up the car and check tire rotation for heavy resistance. Stop driving fat chicks home from the bar.
